Road base is the Foundation of pavement, it is under weight and gravity of the pavement structure of the soil itself, while also suffering passed down by the road traffic load, so the roadbed is a road bearing the main.
(1) the design should pay attention to coordination with the natural environment and the urban landscape along, and fully consider the road along the geologic and hydrologic characteristics, effective use of original, cut and fill balance as far as possible, to avoid the high digging.

(4) design of subgrade should be fully taken into account various unfavorable factors in road running, reduce the variability to ensure durability.
(5) the road-cross slope and road humps on the top cross slope should be consistent.
(6) road-packing should be uniform, dense, maximum size and minimum strength shall meet the relevant requirements.
(7) the road bed treatment measures should be based on the soil, precipitation, ground water and the depth, reinforcing material sources, comparison and selection of the appropriate construction methods.
(8) design principles: embankment must be compact, uniform and stable. Roads trough bottom design of subgrade resilient modulus values should be greater than or equal to 20Mpa. Exceptional circumstances may be below 15Mpa. Does not meet the above requirements should take corresponding measures to improve the soil base strength. Design should be in line with local conditions, the rational use of local materials and industrial waste. For special geological and hydrological condition of embankment, according to relevant standard design should be combined with local experience.
